Maple Valley asphalt overlay project to start in July

The city of Maple Valley will be installing the 2013 annual asphalt overlay this year on Wax Road from Maple Valley Highway west to the city limits.

The city of Maple Valley will be installing the 2013 annual asphalt overlay this year on Wax Road from Maple Valley Highway west to the city limits. The work is scheduled to be done in the month of July depending on the weather conditions, and could last up to 3 days.

Information signs will be posted at each end of the project locations in advance of the work to notify the traveling public of the dates, time and to expect long delays. The contractor will do all that is possible to allow local traffic to proceed through work zone during the paving operations, and to minimalize disruptions to businesses in the area, however we would ask that you use an alternative route if possible.

Citizens living along Wax Road will be required to remove their vehicles from the streets one day in advance of the work, and signs will be posted to notify of the exact date of grinding and paving.
