Portable signs are allowed within Maple Valley as of Jan. 26

Portable signs are allowed within Maple Valley as of Jan. 26 with the following standards:

Portable signs shall not exceed six square feet per side and forty-two inches in height.

Portable signs shall be located so as not to create a traffic safety hazard by obstructing pedestrians or the vision of motorists.

Portable signs shall not be illuminated.

Portable signs are not permitted within the city right-of-way.

No more than one portable sign may be utilized per entity and/or business.

All portable signs shall be located on the premises to which they are advertising and/or located.

In commercial zones portable signs are permitted during business hours and must be removed each day upon the close of business; for all other zones portable signs are permitted between 8a.m. and 8 p.m. and must be removed at all other times.
