Man stopped for speeding cited for driving under the influence | Black Diamond Police Blotter

An officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 23200 block of SE 288th Street at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped the car and the man driving was observed to be intoxicated.

DUI: 23200 block of SE 288th Street. An officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 23200 block of SE 288th Street at a high rate of speed.  The officer stopped the car and the man driving was  observed to be intoxicated. He admitted he had been drinking.  The male driver agreed to perform a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.  The driver was arrested and transported to Buckley jail for driving under the influence.  Upon completion of a breath test the male driver was released by criminal citation.

DOMESTIC: 24000 block of Morgan Street. Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 24000 block of Morgan Street for a possible domestic violence call.  Upon arrival the officers made contact with both parties involved, which were a boyfriend and girlfriend.  After speaking with both parties it was determined there were no threats of violence or a physical altercation and one party was very intoxicated.  The girlfriend advised she would leave for the night to resolve the situation without further incident.
