Tim Perciful’s message: Most people do not get injured while fishing, but it is still good to be safe. Be sure to keep a good distance from other people fishing and do not go fishing alone. You should be within earshot and have a visual of other people fishing in case there is an emergency. Lastly, make sure that people know where you are going to be and when you should be back.

  • Daylight-savings time

  • It will be time to time turn the clocks back Nov 7. Remember that this is a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke alarm and replace items in your emergency kit.
  • Smoke Alarms are generally good for 10 years after the date of manufacture. It is a good idea to replace your smoke alarm after this time, even if they are hard wired. There are several types of smoke alarms including ionization and photo-electric.
  • Many items in your emergency kit may expire. These items include food, water, medications. Break into your kit and check to see what will need to be replaced before you spring forward.
