Lake Wilderness Elementary School was placed in lockdown shortly before noon today at the request of police, who were searching for a home burglary suspect.

The school was released from lockdown shortly before 1 p.m.

Morning preschool and kindergarten students are being bused home and buses are on their way to pick up afternoon preschool and kindergarten students.
