Kollaboration Seattle hosting auditions May 6 for Maple Valley, Covington residents

Kollaboration Seattle is hosting auditions on Sunday, May 6, at the University of Washington Ethnic Cultural Theatre for their third annual show highlighting local Asian American and Pacific Islander tale

Kollaboration Seattle is hosting auditions on Sunday, May 6, at the University of Washington Ethnic Cultural Theatre for their third annual show highlighting local Asian American and Pacific Islander talent.

Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. All forms of entertainment and performing arts acts are welcome, including music, dance and comedy. Those who make it through auditions will have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience, compete for a grand prize of $1000, and have the chance to perform at Kollaboration Los Angeles, the flagship show, which attracts thousands of attendees yearly and in the past have been held at notable venues such as Nokia Theatre.

Application forms can be found online and will be accepted until midnight of April 22.

Walk-in auditions may be admitted if time permits. Participants must bring their own equipment and backtracks and will be judged on skill, stage presence and creativity/ originality.

Participants will be notified by May 20 if chosen to compete in the 2012 showcase. More information can be found on their website.

Kollaboration Seattle will return this autumn for its third annual showcase designed to give talented local API performers a platform for their art. Previous years have boasted sold out concerts and celebrated national and international guest performances.
