King County Sheriff’s detectives said a man in his 20’s was shot and killed this morning near South 126th Street and Renton Avenue South.

Story- King County Sheriff’s detectives are investigation an early morning homicide that occurred just after 4 a.m. near South 126th Street and Renton Avenue South.

Detectives said a patrol officer was near the area and heard the shooting.  The deputy drove to the scene and saw a red car partially in the roadway with the driver slumped over the wheel.  Medics were called but were unable to resuscitate the man who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police two black men, who are the suspected shooters, were seen fleeing the area in a silver or gray Chevrolet Impala.  No further description is available but will be released as we learn more information.
