The Metropolitan King County Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 6, to take testimony on a proposed ordinance authorizing the sale of a 35-acre parcel of County property to the Tahoma School District for development of a new high school.
The public hearing on the proposed transfer will be held before the full council at the King County Courthouse, Room 1001 on Monday, October 6, 2014, at 1:30 p.m.
The property, located at 22801 Southeast 272nd Street in the City of Maple Valley, is part of the 156-acre site on which King County’s Road Services Division Summit Pit maintenance yard is located. The full site has been declared surplus, pending consolidation of the Summit Pit operations this Fall with the County’s maintenance shop near Black Diamond.
The Tahoma School District intends to use the property for the construction of a new high school in the city of Maple Valley
