A Boston Terrier named “Prince” took center stage Aug. 2 as the King County Fair’s “King Critter.”
Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn had the honor of judging the critters, the traditional start of the annual King County Fair.
The other judges included Enumclaw City Clerk Meredith Shirey and Kristen Damazio, Marketing and Events manager of the Enumclaw Expo Center.
Other winners at the Critter crowning included Sarina Cassell, and member of the 4-H Club, Cloverleaf whose pet Alpine Goat Elli came in second. Cassie the horse, owned by Jaxon Hagedorn of the 4H Club, Royal Riders, was the third place critter.
The King County fair runs from through Aug. 5 at the Enumclaw Expo Center which is located at 45224 284th Avenue SE.
This year’s Fair has all of the traditional Fair elements that you would expect including 4H exhibitors, carnival rides, pig races, kid tractor pull, go cart racing, chain saw carving, musical entertainment, and vendors.
Advance tickets can be purchased at your local Quality Food Center (QFC) or at the gate for $5. Children 4 and under admitted free.
