Monday, September 15

King County Flood Control District Executive Committee – 9:00 a.m. ***Special meeting*** Si View Metropolitan Park District, 400 SE Orchard Drive, North Bend, WA 98045

– Public comment will be taken.

Briefing:

  • Presentation on Snoqualmie River corridor planning process

Executive Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full Board of Supervisors:

  • Motion establishing the 2015 state legislative agenda for the King County Flood Control Zone District.

 

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

– Recognition of the King County Indigent Remains Program.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • A motion requesting that the executive utilize an existing task force convened to develop sustainable solutions to the psychiatric boarding crisis, to review and recommend short and long term sustainable solutions for prevention, early intervention and least restrictive alternatives for individuals in mental health and substance abuse crisis (Motion 2014-0383).

For introduction and referral:

  • A motion establishing a pilot project in the King County sheriff’s office to evaluate the effectiveness and benefit of law enforcement vehicle and on‑officer video camera and recording systems (Motion 2014‑0389).

 

Tuesday, September 16

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

 

  • An ordinance adopting public transportation service reductions in the February 2015 scheduled service change (Ordinance 2014-0382).
  • An ordinance addressing income inequality through a requirement that a living wage be paid to county employees and to the employees of certain county contractors (Ordinance 2014-0299).

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 1:30 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance authorizing the conveyance of the surplus property located at 22801 SE 272nd Street, Maple Valley, Washington, in council district nine (Ordinance 2014‑0332).
  • An ordinance approving the sale of surplus Metro transit division property located in council district six (Ordinance 2014-0128).

Briefing:

  • Performance Audit of the Facilities Management Division’s Major Maintenance Reserve Fund (Briefing 2014‑B0134).
