A motion confirming the appointment of Julie Wise as deputy director of the department of elections

Monday, July 13

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • A motion confirming the appointment of Julie Wise as deputy director of the department of elections (Motion 2015-0142).
  • An ordinance providing for the submission to the qualified electors of King County at a special election to be held in King County on November 3, 2015, a proposition authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the levy limitations contained in chapter 84.55 RCW for a consecutive six year period at a first year rate of not more than 14 cents per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation, and limiting annual levy increases to three percent in the five succeeding years, all for the purpose of funding prevention and early intervention strategies to improve the health and well-being of children, youth and their communities (Ordinance 2015-0177).

 

King County Flood Control District– 1:30 p.m.

Boardmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • A resolution relating to the operations and finances of the King County Flood Control Zone District; adopting a revised 2015 budget, operating budget, capital budget, six-year capital improvement program for 2015 – 2020, and subregional opportunity fund allocations; authorizing improvements; and amending Resolution FCD2014-14.3 (Resolution FCD2015-07).
  • A resolution relating to the operations and finances of the King County Flood Control Zone District; authorizing the expenditure of District funds for projects and activities in Water Resource Inventory Areas 8, 9, the Snoqualmie watershed and the King County portions of WRIA 10 (Resolution FCD2015-08).

Government Accountability and Oversight Committee– 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance related to elections; promoting access to elections for historically underrepresented citizens; and adding new sections to K.C.C. chapter 2.16 (Ordinance 2015-0214).
