Monday, December 9

King County Flood Control District – 1:30 p.m. ***Special Meeting***

Supervisors are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• A resolution authorizing the chair to enter into a grant agreement with the state of Washington Puget Sound Partnership (Resolution 2013-19).

• A resolution establishing a policy for the percentage of property tax revenues collected by the King County Flood Control Zone District that will be allocated annually to the subregional opportunity fund (Resolution 2013-20).

–Councilmembers will recognize the awareness of drowsy driving following Drowsy Driving Prevention Week in Washington State.

–Councilmembers will recognize the work of Robert (Bob) Drewel, retiring Executive Director of the Puget Sound Regional Council.

 

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• An ordinance related to siting of recreational marijuana facilities (Substitute Ordinance 2013-0472.).

• An ordinance making net supplemental appropriations to to various general fund and non-general fund agencies (Ordinance 2013-0457).

• A motion establishing the 2014 State Legislative Agenda for King County (Substitute Motion 2013-0509.2)

• An ordinance requiring the use of green building and sustainable development practices in all King County capital projects that meet certain requirements (Ordinance 2013-0324).

• A motion opposing the establishment of new coal terminals in Oregon and Washington and urging a comprehensive environmental review of the impacts of proposals for new terminals, including the associated transport and burning of coal (Motion 2013-0386).

 

Tuesday, December 10

 

Government Accountability and Oversight Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

• An ordinance establishing a pilot program that encourages County employees to be innovative and for the County to commercialize creative ideas, inventions, tools and software programs generated by its employees (Ordinance 2013-0434).

 

King County Ferry Board Executive Committee – 12:00 p.m. ***Special meeting location*** The Committee will meet in the Southwest Conference Room, 12th Flr, King County Courthouse

Board members are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• Approval of invoices

 

 

Law, Justice and Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.

 

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

• An ordinance ratifying the execution of agreements for jail services with the cities of Burien, Enumclaw and Federal Way (Ordinance 2013-0505).
