The annual Kindergarten Registration Week begins March 11 and ends March 15 at all Tahoma School District elementary schools. Students who are 5 years old as of Aug. 31 are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year.
Parents are asked to bring the child’s original birth certificate, immunization record and the child and family’s proof of residency such as a utility bill, rental or purchase or tax statement when they register children for kindergarten.
Tahoma schools are not accepting students who do not live in the district. Students who receive child care inside the district but whose residence is outside the district are not eligible to attend Tahoma schools.
Kindergarten is a half-day program. All-day kindergarten is offered as a tuition-based program. Details about all-day kindergarten are available at schools during registration.
If parents are unable to register their child during the week of March 11 they can still register during regular business hours at the elementary school serving their neighborhood.
Parents who are not sure which school serves their neighborhood can contact the transportation department at 425-413-3220.
