Kentlake & Kentwood Students Impress the Covington Chamber of Commerce

Students and administrators presented during monthly meeting.

Over 40 Covington Chamber of Commerce members and guests enjoyed lunch prepared and served by students from Kentlake High’s Careers in Culinary Arts classes during the chamber’s January meeting that was held at Kentlake.

Dr. Edward Vargas, Kent School District Superintendent, presented information and an update about the Kent schools.

Dr. Joe Potts, Kentlake principal, introduced the culinary students and several student speakers.

Marketing students from Kentwood High School made a presentation about their trade show scheduled for early June and encouraged business involvement.

Kentlake Marketing students offered information on DECA and KL’s marketing program and asked for more business participation with their events.

Officers from Kentlake’s Future Business Leader’s of America club described some of the activities of FBLA. The chamber membership was impressed by the Kent students and thanked them for their efforts and attendance.
