Kent School District will offer Credit Recovery classes at Kent-Meridian High School during the summer from June 25 to Aug. 2.

Summer Credit Recovery will offer a hybrid approach to learning that combines face-to-face time with a teacher while utilizing the e2020 online curriculum.  Students will be able to recover 0.5 credit through the summer Credit Recovery program.

Class Dates and Times

Credit Recovery classes will be held on Monday and Thursday of each week between June 25-August 2 on the KM campus.  There will be three sessions held each day: 8-9:55 a.m., 10-11:55 a.m. and 12-1:55 p.m.  Students will be assigned a class time based on teacher availablity and class needed.

  • Students will have face-to-face time with the teacher for 10 sessions.  Classes will be held on the following dates: June 25, 28, July 2, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, and Aug. 2
  • Students will need to work at home or the library where they have access to the Internet in addition to working in class in order to finish coursework on time
  • Students who do not complete coursework by August 2 may continue to work at home until August 16
  • Students who do not complete coursework by Aug. 16 must pay another course fee to continue in the Fall

Enrollment and Payment

Enrollment for Summer Credit Recovery will continue until the program is full.  Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Summer Credit Recovery classes will be available to 200 students district-wide; 25 students per session.  The reason for this cap is our classroom has limited computers and therefore will accommodate only a limited number of students per session.

The cost for each .5 credit class is $100.  If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, then the cost is $60 per .5 credit class (be prepared to show proof that you qualify for free or reduced lunch).  You will need to pay the cashier to begin your participation in the Credit Recovery program.

Please note: no refund will be given unless it is determined the student does not qualify for Credit Recovery.
