Kent School District to offer free summer lunches for those under 18

The summer lunch program will run the week of June 23-the week of Aug. 14.

Kent School District Nutrition Services is sponsoring free summer lunches for all children ages 18 and under starting the week of June 23, running through August 14.

“The food we provide is an important source of nutritious food for children and youth during the summer when they don’t have access to school lunches,” said Nutrition Services Executive Director Tom Ogg.

The Summer Lunch Program is a partnership between Kent School District Nutrition Services, Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

For a list of dates and locations that will be serving free lunches this summer, see the Summer Lunch Program flyer on the Kent School District website, www.kent.k12.wa.us.
