Inaugural Community First Awards given out at Community Center breakfast

The Greater Maple Valley Community Center gave out the inaugural Community First Awards at the annual breakfast on March 14.

The Greater Maple Valley Community Center gave out the inaugural Community First Awards at the annual breakfast on March 14.

Mike Maryanski, superintendent of Tahoma Schools, received the individual award and the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra received the group award.

The Center’s Board of Directors created the awards to celebrate those who help make the community a special place.

The Community First Awards recognize outstanding service to the community, society and humanity by an individual or group.
