Once again, the Jerry Woods holiday fire engine will be visiting the neighborhoods in the Maple Valley area this holiday season. As in the past, food and monetary donations will be collected for the Maple Valley Food Bank.

The holiday fire engine is sponsored by the Maple Valley Professional Firefighters Association, the Maple Valley Rotary and Valley Medical Center. In the past years the holiday fire engine volunteers have been able to contribute to the food bank and they will be looking forward to doing the same this year with the help of the community.

Along with the holiday fire engine, members of the Greater Maple Valley Girl Scouts will be caroling in the neighborhoods and the Tahoma High cheerleaders and Greater Maple Valley Boy Scouts will be collecting food donations.

To make sure your neighborhood is visited by the holiday fire engine this year, all homeowners’ associations and neighborhood representatives are urged to contact Lt. John Madden at 206-920-8087 by Nov. 19. A schedule will be posted The Reporter at the end of November. Become a friend of the Jerry Woods Holiday Fire Engine on facebook to see the schedule and make a donation.
