Girl Scout Troop No. 50313 recently met with the Maple Valley Chief Of Police Michelle Bennett and Detective Gregg Walker to earn their Personal Defense Interest Patch.
The girls toured the sheriff’s Department, saw the holding jail and sat down with these professionals to learn how to keep themselves safe.
The girls met with Stefanie Thomas, Internet crimes against children victim advocate from the Seattle Police Department. At a previous meeting, this troop took a personal self defense class to complete the patch.
