Fundraiser planned for woman with brain tumor at Black Diamond Eagle’s Lodge

The family members of Shelby Wedlund have scheduled a fundraiser for the 2004 Tahoma High School graduate from 1-5 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Black Diamond Eagle’s Lodge, 32618 Railroad Ave.

Wedlund was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was surgically removed in May. She is currently undergoing treatments at the Seattle Cancer Alliance and the University of Washington Medical Center. She is soliciting the community to help her tackle the overwhelming and unexpected medical expenditures by attending a dinner and silent auction fundraiser on her behalf.

A suggested donation of $25 per person is recommended.

The Shelby Wedlund Medical Fund has been established at the Wilderness Village Bank of America branch office. Donations may be processed at any Bank of America branch.
