Free docent tours of Lake Wilderness Arboretum

Lake Wilderness Arboretum invites local residents and visitors to tour the gardens and collections of the arboretum Saturday, May 16

Lake Wilderness Arboretum invites local residents and visitors to tour the gardens and collections of the arboretum Saturday, May 16.

Docent tours start at the Arboretum’s gazebo at 10 a.m. and are free to the public. Signs are posted to direct visitors to the gazebo and to free parking.

Experience the acres of gardens with the backdrop of 26 acres of native forest. Learn about plants native to the area as well as those that are rare and exotic from experienced tour leaders trained in the history, flora and fauna of the Arboretum. Picture how the park progressed from a lumber mill with a train line to a resort with an airplane landing strip to a park in the heart of Maple Valley.
