Four shot in Skyway – one suspect is person of interest in Mount Rainier Park shooting | King County Sheriff

Four people were shot at a house party in the 6200 block of S 117 Place in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day. Deputies went to the residence after receiving a 911 call and discovered three men and one woman had been shot.

King County Sheriff’s deputies went to the residence after receiving a 911 call and discovered three men and one woman had been shot.

Detectives determined that three subjects had fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. Detectives located two of the subjects and were working with the family of the third to convince him to come to the police to tell his side of the story.

This evening detectives learned that the third man is the “person of interest” in the shooting of a park ranger at Mt. Rainer.

Witnesses said multiple persons at the party were armed and had a “show and tell” with their guns. Just before 3 a.m. an argument started over a gun. A shootout ensued during the argument that resulted in four people being shot.

Detectives report that numerous rounds were fired. It is unknown at this point how many people were shooting and who had initiated the shooting. Detectives have not been able to interview victims at this time due to their injuries.
