Firefighters dispatched to accident with blood at scene and no one in vehicle | Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety

Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety and Renton Fire Department emergency personnel were dispatched to report of single vehicle accident in the 17600 block of 195 Place Southeast. Firefighters arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle with air bags deployed that had crashed into a guard rail.

Feb. 17 
CHIMNEY FIRE: 28600 block of Southeast 226 Street.

  • Firefighters was dispatched to a chimney fire in the 28600 block of SE 226 Street.  Upon investigation firefighters found heavy creosote buildup and fire inside the chimney.  Firefighters removed the burning wood from the fireplace and extinguished the fire in the chimney by removing the chimney cap and wetting the flue.  Firefighters inspected the walls and attic around the chimney and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure no fire had extended to the structure.  Firefighters replaced the chimney cap and while they were there they provided the home owner with a new smoke detector and address numbers for their mailbox.

 
Feb. 16
INJURY ACCIDENT: Southeast 208 Street.

  • At 12:30 p.m. on Southeast 208 Street, five miles east of 276 Avenue Southeast emergency personnel were dispatched to an injury accident.  A logging truck had rolled over onto its side down a small embankment with the driver trapped in the cab.  Firefighters had the logging crew secure the vehicle with a chain and excavator before approaching the cab.  The patient was then extricated and transported to Station 85 where King County paramedics were standing by.  The paramedics evaluated, treated and transported the patient to a local trauma center

   
Feb. 19
ACCIDENT: 17600 block of 195 Place Southeast.

  • Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety and Renton Fire Department emergency personnel were dispatched to report of single vehicle accident in the 17600 block of 195 Place Southeast. Firefighters arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle with air bags deployed that had crashed into a guard rail. No one was inside the vehicle.  The vehicle had blood inside; the parking brake was set and the keys removed.  Firefighters searched the surrounding area for patients but none were found.  Firefighters left the vehicle with a King County Sheriff’s deputy that was on scene.
