Camp Tech: Build a Robot Puppet

Saturday, February 21, 11am

Ages 8 to 18.

Presented by Cheryl Hadley.

Get creative with foil, cardboard, plastic and metal bits to design and build your own movable robot puppet. No batteries required!

Registration required beginning February 7.

 

Family Book Club

Saturday, February 28, 3pm

Ages 9 to 12.

Family Book Club is a shared experience – adults will also be reading and discussing the books right along with their child. Talk about books, eat snacks and join in the fun.

Chocolate Making for Valentine’s Day

Saturday, February 14, 1:30pm

Middle school, junior high and high school ages.

Join pastry chef Laurie Pfalzer to learn how to make chocolate gifts for Valentine’s Day. Learn how to make ganache, dark chocolate and peppermint bark, white Chocolate popcorn and caramel corn with dark chocolate drizzle. At the end of class you will package your gifts and take them home to give or enjoy.

Come play with our Makey Makeys and discover all the things you can ‘makey-make’ it do. Makey Makeys are invention kits that have endless possibilities and are just too cool to even describe here. Turn bananas into piano keys. Make yourself into a music instrument. Read about them online!

Camp Tech: Tabletop Moviemaking

Friday, February 20, 1pm

Ages 10 to 14.

In this two hour workshop, write a script and shoot and edit a movie using an iPad. This is a hands on workshop that uses paper characters and dioramas to explore the fundamentals of the moviemaking process.
