Expired tab, marijuana and a pipe | Black Diamond Police Blotter

An officer observed a vehicle traveling south in the 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE with expired tabs. A traffic stop was initiated and upon contacting the male driver the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

MARIJUANA: 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE. An officer observed a vehicle traveling south in the 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE with expired tabs. A traffic stop was initiated and upon contacting the male driver the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The man said he had a small amount of marijuana on him, as well as a pipe. The officer confirmed the man was not under the influence and upon seizing the illegal items he was placed under arrest. The man was issued a criminal citation and released from the scene.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 3rd Avenue/Baker Street. Officers were flagged down in the area of 3rd Avenue/Baker Street by a female subject. The female subject advised she had been in an argument with her husband earlier and wanted information regarding a restraining order. After speaking with the female subject it was confirmed that there was no violence or threats of violence during the argument. The woman stated she felt her husband needed counseling. The woman was provided domestic violence resource information and officers cleared the scene.
