My family has owned property in Maple Valley since the 1920ʼs. I spent summers in Maple Valley until 1998 when I became a permanent resident. Erin Weaverʼs family has been in Maple Valley for more than half a century.

I can well remember the days when we got our water from a well on our property, and we lit the cabin with kerosene lamps, candles and the fireplace. We had to pack all of our supplies from Seattle and we cooked on a wood-burning stove. To a little kid our woods were dark and scary at night, but during the day it was fun to tramp around in them.

While Erin, being of a much younger generation, did not have the same experiences as I, I know her to be mindful of and sensitive to the concerns of our elder population who may be concerned about the unparalleled growth of our city in recent years, its scope and economic impact.

I believe Erin Weaver is extremely well suited to husband our resources wisely and to lead us forward in a manner responsible to all of our citizens. I urge you to read about Erin on her Web site, www.erinweaver.com, and then to vote for her.
