Early morning head on collision on I-5 injures teens

A 26-year-old Seattle man struck a vehicle head-on driven by a 17-year-old male from Renton on Interstate-5. According to the Washington State Patrol alcohol was involved.

A 26-year-old Seattle man struck a vehicle head-on driven by a 17-year-old male from Renton on Interstate-5. According to the Washington State Patrol alcohol was involved.

The collision occurred at 3:30 a.m. today, Jan. 15, on I-5 near I-405

According to the WSP report, the Seattle man was driving northbound in the southbound lane of I-5 when he collided with the other vehicle in the southbound HOV lane.

The Renton driver sustained minor injuries. There were three 17-year-old males in the car and a 16-year-old girl. All were injured and transferred to local hospitals.
