Drunk and stoned minor walking on Maple Valley Highway cited | Maple Valley-Covington Police Blotter

An officer noticed a subject walking along Maple Valley Highway. When the person was contacted, it appeared the subject was intoxicated and stoned. The person had marijuana on them and was also cited as a minor in possession.

  • SUSPICIOUS PEOPLE: 23700 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road. A vehicle pulled into a car wash parking lot but left when they saw police patrolling nearby. The officer observed a sledge hammer and bolt cutters in the truck.
  • BAD SON: 23300 block of Southeast 267th Place. A woman suspects her grown son stole jewelry from her home as well as a check from her then cashed it in his name.

  • BAD CHECK PASSED: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway. After filling up the gas tank, the customer paid for it with a bad check at the Safeway gas station in Four Corners.

  • THEFT: 23200 block of Maple Valley Highway. Someone stole a pipe saw from a construction vehicle parked at McDonalds.

  • BURGLARY; 23900 block of Southeast 264th Street. While on patrol, a deputy noticed a car he had recently had impounded because its owner was driving with a suspended license had been accessed while on the lot. The suspect had cut a hole in the fence then entered the vehicle.

  • DRUNK DRIVER: 20700 block of Kent Kangley Road. A driver was stopped for “improper lane travel” and following too closely. During the stop, the officer determined the driver was driving under the influence and arrested the motorist.
  • THEFT: 16500 block of Southeast 278th Street. Around 3 a.m. the owner of a pick up truck heard his dog barking but didn’t hear anything else and didn’t look outside. The next day the vehicle owner discovered items were taken from the bed of the pickup.

  • STOLEN CAR: 27000 block of 185th Avenue Southeast. After a stolen vehicle was driving recklessly through the Home Depot parking lot, during which it struck several objects, and came to rest in front of Jenkins Creek Elementary.

  • GRAFFITI: 19600 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone vandalized a FedEx Express van with graffiti. According to police there is no suspect or witnesses.

  • CHECK FORGERY: 17100 block of Southeast 267th Street. After a man put two checks in the Covington post office drop box, the box was broken into, and the checks were taken out and cashed by whomever broke into the box.
  • HIGHWAY ROBBERY: 26700 block of 192nd Avenue Southeast. While waiting at the bus stop someone tried and failed to rob the victim of his backpack but did not have a weapon.

  • EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK: Southeast 270th Place and 172nd Avenue Southeast. A driver was stopped for not having a front license plate. In addition, the motorist had been reported for violating a domestic violence related no contact order, was driving with a third degree suspended license, didn’t have car insurance or proof of registration.

  • DRUNK AND ARMED: 25500 block of 159th Court Southeast. Two people arrived at a large party at a private home drunk and armed with concealed handguns.
