Drug dog finds marijuana and paraphernalia during traffic stop | Black Diamond Police Blotter

A vehicle was stopped by an officer for a traffic violation in the 31100 block of 3rd Avenue. The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle driven by a man. Through investigation and use of the narcotics K9, approximately 1 gram of marijuana and several pieces of drug paraphernalia were found on the driver. The man was issued a criminal citation and released

Oct. 30

  • DUI: 3rd Avenue. An officer observed a vehicle heading southbound in the 30000 block of the 3rd Avenue. As the officer continued to follow the vehicle it swerved numerous times over the center line and the fog line. The officer turned on their emergency lights to stop the vehicle, however it continued for approximately another mile before pulling over. The officer made contact with the male driver and immediately noticed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath as he spoke. A driving under the influence investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. Upon submitting to a breath test the driver was booked into Buckley jail on a charge of driving under the influence.

  • TRESPPASSING: Railroad Avenue. Officers were dispatched to a trespassing call at a business along Railroad Avenue. Employees of the business said a man had been wandering around the entrances to the business and taking cigarette butts out of the ash trays. Additionally they felt he may have opened doors to unlocked vehicles in the parking-lot. Officers contacted the man and issued him a trespass order per the request of the employees to stay away from the property. It was determined that no vehicle had been illegally entered.
