Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) on Saturday, Oct. 4 will join about two dozen other animal organizations across Washington for the third annual Statewide Shelter Open House hosted by Pawsitive Alliance. During this special celebration, RASKC will waive the adoption fee on all pets. Regular licensing fees will still apply.

“Hundreds of homeless pets wait in shelters for their forever families,” said RASKC Manager Dr. Gene Mueller. “We’re proud to join with Pawsitive Alliance and our partners around the state to help get more pets into good homes, and to highlight the great work that shelters all across Washington are doing to help both people and animals.”

Adoptable cats and kittens will be available at both the King County Pet Adoption Center in Kent and the Eastside Pet Adoption Center in Kirkland. Because of ongoing renovations at the Kent facility, adoptable dogs will only be available at the Eastside center. The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. The Eastside Pet Adoption Center is located inside Petco at 12040 NE 85th St. in Kirkland.
