Deadline for King County voter registration Monday, July 19

King County residents must be registered to vote by Monday, July 19 in order to vote in the Aug. 17 primary election. Residents can register online, through the mail or by visiting the elections office. Those not already registered in Washington can do so after July 19 in person at the elections office through Aug. 9.

“Registering to vote is easy,” said Sherril Huff, King County Elections director. “We have detailed information on the elections website and our staff is here to help you in person or over the phone. If you are eligible to vote and haven’t yet registered, there’s still time to make sure you can participate in the next election.”

Voters already registered in King County can update their information online in order to ensure their vote is processed efficiently. Voters who have moved or changed names should update their information by July 19.

Voters who have already registered in King County, but miss the July 19 deadline to update their address can still vote by contacting the elections office at 206-296-8683 or by e-mail at elections@kingcounty.gov.
