Covington woman booked for alleged stabbing

Investigators recommend a charge first-degree assault, which is a class A felony

A Covington woman has been booked in connection to an alleged stabbing reported on May 2.

A detective from the King County major crime’s Unit was able to speak with the alleged victim, Marcus Edwards, 20, who indicated his girlfriend was the offender, according to Covington Police Chief Kevin Klason. The female lives at 26402 187th Ave. SE, where the incident is believed to have occurred, Klason said. Investigators are recommending a charge of first-degree assault, a class A felony, to the King County Prosecuting Attorney.

Officers said they received little cooperation from the multiple individuals in the house at the time of the incident. Klason said Edwards was also “not the most forthcoming” and that the specific item used to stab the man is not yet known.
