Covington schools compete for contest prizes

Four schools – Kentlake High, Totem Middle School, Covington Elementary and Cedar Heights Middle School – are vying for a chance to win a share of the $120,000 in cash prizes in the Lots2Give contest.

The public is invited to view the videos submitted by the participating schools at www.biglots.com/lots2give and vote for their favorite entry.

To enter the contest, schools submitted a 90-second video and a brief essay on why it could use some additional financial support.

A $20,000 grand prize, two $10,000 first-place prizes, four $5,000 second-place prizes and 30 $2,000 third-place prizes will be awarded.

Voting began June 11 and ends July 8.

Winners will be announced Aug. 11.

The contest is part of the fifth-annual Lots2Give program launched by Big Lots to help schools in need of financial support across America.
