June 25 — Friday — Lunch with the Cook’s Band “Mix and Match,” 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Please call 360-886-1011 to sign up in advance.

June 26 — Saturday — Re-visit to the Washington State History Museum. Exhibits feature Sasquatch, Washington Icons, Chess Sets from around the world, contemporary Northwest Native Art and so much more!. Trip time 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Costs are $17, first $10 due Monday June 22nd. Participants will need to bring money for lunch. Call 360-886-1011 to sign up.

Senior Congregate Meals – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays – served at noon, social hour begins at 11 a.m..

Jane’s SkipBo group starts at 10:30a.m. on Tuesdays and Mexican Train Dominoes group starts at 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays.

Joe’s Pinochle group meets Tuesdays at 1 p.m. The Best Bingo group meets Thursdays at 1 p.m. TOPS meets Fridays 9-11 a.m.

Must-Go Mondays – New lunch program – served at noon, social hour begins at 11 a.m. Suggested donation $2.

BD Walk & Talk – Mondays & Wednesdays. Group meets at BDCC at 7:30 a.m. Walk around Black Diamond on Mondays, and off to the Wilderness trail on Wednesdays.

Java Chat – Immediately after Walk & Talk. Bring a friend or just come on down, Mondays at 8:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 9 a.m., to visit and enjoy Starbucks coffee and sweet rolls.

TOPS – Take off Pounds Sensibly – Fridays at 9 a.m. in the BDCC Pool Room – lose weight and make new friends with this great support group.

Nutrition Lunch – Congregate Meal served Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at noon. Fresh salads served with each meal. Suggested donation is $3. Social gathering starts at 11 a.m..

Blood Pressure – Come get your blood pressure checked every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to noon by volunteers from the Black Diamond Fire Department.

Diabetic Shoe Fittings – Are you in need of or interested in getting diabetic shoes? Appointments with Patty Hensley are available on the first Thursday of the month after lunch. Call 360-886-1011 for more information.

Foot Care – Third Thursday of every month, with Karen Poppleton, for only $25. Appointments available 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., call 360-886-1011 to reserve your spot in advance.

Mexican Train Dominos – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to12 p.m.

Skip-Bo with Tom – Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 12 pm.

Pool with Pete – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Pinochle with Joe – Tuesdays after lunch at 1 p.m.

B-I-N-G-O-! – Thursdays after lunch at 1p.m..

Investment Club — Fourth Monday of the month, 10 a.m.-12 p.m..

Free Pet Food – Once a month for low-income seniors. Sponsored by the Humane Society. Come by the Black Diamond Community Center to fill out an application. This service is available each month.

BDCC Transportation — Every Thursday for our congregate meal, pick up times & locations vary. Please call to set up your ride! Cost is $2 for Black Diamond and $3 for Maple Valley round trip. Pre-paid cards are available.

Meals on Wheels – Available to home-bound seniors. Meals are provided by Senior Services for only a $3 donation for each meal. 24-pack cases of Ensure are also available for a discount rate of $25. Please call 360-886-1011 to sign up for the program.

Adult Day Health is available at the Black Diamond Community Center every Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Caring staff provide special activities, which include games, news of the day, painting and crafts, activities geared toward their abilities, nutritious lunches, and reminisce. We ask for $3 donation for lunch. If you are a caregiver for an aged parent or loved one 55 or older, give yourself a break, and treat your loved one to a special outing.
