The Cedarcreek Covenant Church will hosts a free community family night 6:30-8 p.m. Sept. 11 in the parking lot of Glacier Park Elementary .

This event includes free food, inflatable toys for children, a magician, classic cars, community resources, crafts and entertainment by The Noise Guy.

The Noise Guy is the headliner for the event. He is a comedian and vocal sound impressionist who teaches humor as a life skill and shows youths how to put some oomph into onomatopoeia. He has been performing full time for 10 years. He has published three books and released eight albums of noisy fun. He will tell traditional and not-so-traditional stories in an energetic way. It will be good, noisy, family fun.

Along with being a fun evening for the whole family this event intends to make families aware of resources in Maple Valley.

Members of Cedarcreek are involved in Glacier Park as mentors and tutors. They also provide snacks for children who come to school hungry and help maintain the garden. Cedarcreek supports the Maple Valley Food Bank and Vine Maple Place, a Christian-based organization with housing and support services for homeless families.

The event will be held at Glacier Park Elementary, but information about the event can be found on Cedarcreek Covenant Church’s Web site.
