- VEHICLE FIRE: 19400 block of Southeast Jones Road. Firefighters were dispatched at 3 a.m. in the 19400 block of SE Jones Road to a passenger vehicle fire. On location firefighters found an abandoned car that appeared to have been burning for some time. The fire was quickly extinguished. The vehicle had no license plates and the VIN was missing. The incident is under investigation.
March 20
- STABBINGs: 18600 block of Renton-Maple Valley Highway. At 12:52 a.m. in the 18600 block of Renton-Maple Valley Highway paramedics from Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety and King County were dispatched to a tavern to provide medical aid to two patients that had been stabbed. Both patients were transported to a local trauma center.
March 19
- SHOOTING: 28500 block of 298th Place Southeast. At 11:45 p.m. in the 28500 block of 298th Place Southeast paramedics from Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety and King County were dispatched to a shooting. Upon arrival firefighter/EMT’s took over patient care from King County sheriff’s deputies who were performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Firefighters continued CPR and controlled major bleeding however resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
March 16
- CAR FIRE: 34600 block of SE Kent-Kangley Road. At about 8 a.m. in the 34600 block of SE Kent-Kangley Road firefighters was dispatched to a passenger vehicle fire mutual aid with Kangley-Palmer Fire Department. At the scene the firefighters found an abandoned car on the shoulder fully involved in fire. The fire was initially knocked down with water, however due to ignition of the fuel firefighters had to use foam to completely extinguish the fire. The vehicle had no license plates and had been stripped of its doors, seats and body panels. The incident is under investigation.
