The biannual Maple Valley Library Guild Spring book and media sale opens Thursday, May 16.

The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 16 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 17 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 18 in the library meeting room.

Donated books, CDs, videogames, and DVDs will be sold, with most items priced at $1 or less. Shoppers can also fill a plastic grocery bag provided by the Guild from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon for only $5. All proceeds from the sale, along with ongoing book cart sales, are used by the nonprofit Maple Valley Library Guild to support children, teen, and adult programs, including speakers, performers, crafts, and musicians.
