The body found in the trunk of a burned car on May 6 has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The body found in the trunk of a burned car on May 6 has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The body was positively identified as that of Denise Kay Grigsby. Grigsby was a 39-year-old woman from the Kent area.

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office the cause of death is listed as homicide.

King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives and Fire Investigators will be processing the car for evidence.

The body was first discovered buy firefighters who responded to a fully engulfed car fire in the area of Southeast 328th Street and Southeast Auburn Black Diamond Road.

Fire investigators discovered the burned remains in the trunk of the car.This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
