Churches in Black Diamond, Maple Valley and Ravensdale will join together to celebrate a community Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 23855 S.E. 216th St. in Maple Valley.
“This Thanksgiving Eve service has become tradition in Maple Valley,” Pastor Bill Walles said, pastor at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. “It is a wonderful time to give thanks to God for all He has done for us over the past year. We invite the community to join us for this event.”
Pastors and musicians from all the participating churches will play a special role in the service. The churches will also collect an offering to support the Maple Valley Food Bank, which support hundreds of local families during the holiday season.
Following the service there will be a dessert reception. The entire community is invited to attend and bring a dessert to share.
Child care for children up to age 5 will be provided. For more information call 425-432-1373 or visit
