The Black Diamond Community Center is collecting school supplies for their Running Start program to help out low-income families in the greater Black Diamond area. They are requesting backpacks, three-ring binders, calculators, Fiskar scissors, loose-leaf paper, ball-point pens, markers, and colored pencils.
If anyone would like to donate, they can call or come by the Community Center at 31605 Third Ave (SR 169) in Black Diamond. They can also be reached at 360-886-1011.
The BDCC is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
If you are in need of supplies, applications are now available.
Bring a copy of your medical coupons or free or reduced lunch certificate to qualify.
Applications are due by Monday, Aug. 20 .
School supplies will be distributed at the Black Diamond Community Center from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
