The Black Diamond Community Center says it will assist families in the Black Diamond area with essential food items over the summer.

Qualifying families may receive vouchers for $7 worth of dairy products that can be purchased at the local Cenex Store. Donations have come from the Maple Valley Black Diamond Rotary, Lake Sawyer Christian Church, St. Barbara Parrish and the Black Diamond Eagles.

Citizens can also drop food donations off at the Center, located at 31605 Third Ave (SR 169) in Black Diamond. The Center is open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.For more information, call 360-886-1011.
