Bicyclist reportedly spit on while riding | Covington & Maple Valley Police Blotter

On April 7 officers were called to Fred Meyer on reports of a female subject shoplifting. It was reported that she was concealing items in a large purse and exited the store without paying. She was booked into the Regional Justice Center on two unrelated misdemeanor warrants.

On April 8 it was reported that a purse and other items were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle overnight.

ASSAULT

On April 7 officers were contacted about a bicyclist being spit on who they were riding down the street.

FRAUD

On April 8 officers were informed that the victim received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Publisher’s Clearing House. According to the police report, the caller was demanding money for the tax portion of the victim’s winnings.
