COVINGTON

THOSE DARN KIDS: 16300 block of Southeast 251st Street. A man discovered someone had broken into his car and stole items from inside. Police had no suspects, but the man believes it’s probably teens from his neighborhood because he found sunflower seeds in his car.

NICE GADGETS: 16000 block of Southeast 250th Court. A portable GPS unit and a Nikon camera were stolen from a car parked in a private driveway.

BURGLARY: 26400 block of 185th Avenue Southeast. Someone broke into a home through a bathroom window and stole change as well as a diamond pendant.

FRAUD: 26400 block of 189th Avenue Southeast. After receiving a call from a collection agency, a man discovered someone had opened a Qwest account in his name using his Social Security number.

NOT SO PRODIGAL SON: 18500 block of Southeast 267th Street. A woman believes her son entered her home and stole jewelry and alcohol after he was kicked out.

THEFT: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. After going into Walmart through the main entrance, a patron stole a computer then fled through the store’s north fire escape.

CAUGHT SMOKING: Southeast 260th Street and 168th Avenue Southeast. A man and a pair of juveniles were caught smoking pot in the Coho Creek neighborhood. The man was in possession of 55 grams of marijuana.

SLAPPED: 18200 block of Southeast 240th Street. A student reported to the Tahoma High school resource officer that his girlfriend had slapped him while they were talking before school, leaving a red mark on his face, as well as causing discomfort.

DELIVERY INTERCEPTED: 27700 block of 245th Avenue Southeast. A woman discovered a package she had been expecting was stolen from her front porch. She confirmed with UPS they had delivered it to her home.
