A current craze in communities across the country is the mobile app for Pokemon Go.

The game has people searching for the electronic characters, which can appear on the app at any location, including secure facilities such as fire and police stations.

While we want our residents to enjoy their game, we want to warn people of the potential danger of playing the game near these locations.

Police cars and fire apparatus are regularly coming into and leaving them, often with lights and sirens operating as we respond to emergencies.

People parking or on foot on station properties may unintentionally block or delay emergency responses.

In addition, climbing over security fences to find these characters may also lead to potential trespassing issues.

Please keep this in mind while playing Pokemon Go, only park in areas designated for this purpose and avoid going into areas clearly not open to the public.
