The city of Covington is seeking art enthusiasts to apply for open Arts Commission positions.

The city of Covington is seeking art enthusiasts to apply for open Arts Commission positions.  Arts commissioners serve the city as advisors to the City Council in matters of art, and coordinate various art programs and events in the city, including the monthly artwork display in the City Hall Art Gallery.

Arts commissioners also organize the annual student art show, which includes contacting business owners, inventorying submitted artwork, and creating the exhibit in collaboration with Covington business owners.

Serving on the Arts Commission can be a fun and rewarding experience!  If you would like to exercise your creativity, serve your community, and promote art in Covington, please complete an application.

The commission currently meets at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.  Further information on the commission can also be found on our website at www.covingtonwa.gov/city_government/artscommission.html.  Applicants will receive notification when their application has been received, and an interview schedule will be established.
