Annual spay and neuter day set

The 15th annual Spay Day USA, Feb. 24, is being recognized locally by South County Cats, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for cat owners who need help getting their cats spayed or neutered. Spay Day USA is an annual campaign of The Humane Society of the United States to inspire people to save animal lives by spaying or neutering their pets. To receive assistance, you may contact South County Cats either through e-mail at southcountycats@comcast.net or mail to South County Cats, 26828 Maple Valley Black Diamond RD S.E. No. 160.

The organization will provide information on how to make spay-neuter arrangements with Coalition: HUMAnE in Tacoma. South County Cats is a Maple Valley-based, all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is reducing feline overpopulation and homelessness through spay and neuter. There were more than 670 cat “fixes” in 2008.
