Air Force Airman Connor T. Nelson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Nelson completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Nelson earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Jack V. Nelson and Michelle M. Wilkinson-Nelson of Prairieville, La., brother of Katherine Nelson of Nashville, Tenn., grandson of Raymond and Fran Wilkinson of Fircrest, Wash., and nephew of Rebecca Wilkinson of Maple Valley.

He is a 2012 graduate of Curtis Senior High School in University Place.
