COVINGTON

April 9

  • ASSAULT: 26200 block of 197th Avenue Southeast. A woman assaulted her son causing him to suffer injuries. He suffered a half inch abrasion to his left hip and a half inch scratch on his forehead. The woman could be charged with fourth degree assault.
  • THEFT: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. While shopping in Kohl’s, a woman put her purse on the ground as she looked through clothing racks, then picked up her purse and left the store. When she got into her car she opened her purse to make a phone call but her cell phone was gone. She looked through her purse but couldn’t find it.
  • SUSPICIOUS: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. A convicted felon was seen in the Walmart parking lot wearing a Washington State Patrol jacket complete with vehicle inspection patches and hat.

April 8

  • FRAUD: 25500 block of 159th Court Southeast. After receiving a call from her bank that her balance had dropped the woman discovered someone had attempted to use her check card. There were about $5,000 in pending and attempted charges.
  • MORE FRAUD: 24200 block of 192nd Avenue Southeast. Someone stole two debit cards and a check from the victim. The thief fraudulently used both of the check cards and attempted to deposit the check into another person’s account.

 

MAPLE VALLEY

April 10

  • BURGLARY: 23700 block of Southeast 264th Street. The suspect cut the chain link fence at Westeover Auto then stole tires and wheels of a vehicle inside the yard. The thief also took a motor off a boat.

April 8

  • CAR PROWLER: 27600 block of 238th Avenue Southeast. A number of vehicles in the Barklay Woods neighborhood were prowled by an unknown suspect. Entry into many of the vehicles appeared to not be forced, suggesting the owners had left their doors unlocked, and the thief took items from several of the cars.

April 7

  • GRAFFITI: 21900 block of Southeast Wax Road. Someone spray painted “5blob5 Killa” on the fence at Take-A-Break Park.
