March 4

IDENTITY THEFT: 26600 block of 197th Place Southeast. Someone used the victim’s name, address and Social Security number to open accounts at Best Buy and Lowe’s. The accounts were closed before any charges were made to them.

STOLEN: 16900 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman’s wallet was stolen from her purse which she had placed in her shopping cart while shopping. In addition to her own identification and payment cards, she carries her mother’s ID and credit card, as well as her deceased husband’s and brother’s Social Security cards and licenses.

FOUND: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. A woman found her vehicle, which had been stolen in Renton, in the parking lot of Walmart.

March 3

FORGERY: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man identified by the name Adam used a forged prescription to get oxycontin from the Fred Meyer pharmacy.

SPEEDING: Southeast 252nd Place and 156th Avenue Southeast. A driver was stopped for speeding and was discovered to have a suspended drivers license and in possession of oxycontin without a prescription.

HIT AND RUN: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. After slapping him, a woman hit her boyfriend’s car with her vehicle then left the scene.

FRAUD: 22500 block of Southeast 277th Place. A woman’s tax information was retrieved from the Internet without her knowledge and that was used to file a fraudulent tax return. The victim called the IRS and she was told the tax return was sent to an out of state address but she was not given the actual address of the return.

WINDOW SHOT OUT: 25700 block of 210th Avenue Southeast. Someone used a projectile of some sort, either a BB gun or sling shot, to shoot out the bathroom window of a home in the Cedar Downs neighborhood.

March 6

VANDALISM: Southeast 244th Street and 236th Avenue Southeast. Someone damaged and stole letters of neighborhood signs in Patrick’s Faire.

March 5

LOOSE CHANGE: 16500 block of Southeast 254th Place Southeast. A woman discovered someone had entered her unlocked car parked in the driveway of her home and took change.

March 3

TOOL MAN: 23700 block of Southeast 281st Street. Someone stole a tool box from a garage and it didn’t appear the thief forced entry. The victim suspects that his adult brother who lives with him took the items.

March 1

ASSAULT: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway. After being verbally taunted repeatedly, the suspect punched the victim while patronizing a local bar and grill.
