795 motorists arrested for driving under the influence during Drive Sober campaign

Last year during the same time there were 960 DUI arrests in King County.

795 motorists were stopped and arrested for driving under the influence in King County Nov. 21 through Jan. 1 as part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Statewide 3,446 DUI arrests were made. Last year during the same time there were 960 DUI arrests in King County.

The campaign, which included extra DUI patrols, was implemented by city police departments and the Washington State Patrol with support from the King County Target Zero Task Force. Extra patrols were funded by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
